This coming Wednesday, September 26th, 2012 is the day of Atonement. The only biblically prescribed day of fasting in the bible. It is set aside as a day of soul searching and repentance. It is one of the most important days on the Christian and Jewish calender.

I was not raised honoring this day as the bible requests us to. Therefore I do not have a great deal of experience or long time knowledge to share. Except for some of my teachers and a special friend, who is a Messianic Christian. If you are a follower of the Joseph Plan you have seen me mention the name of Jim Searcy before. Jim has been a teacher of mine for over 12 years. And I have appreciated it so very much. Jim is a post-tribulation rapture believer.

This year Yom Kippur may have a special significance for all of us. So I thought you would enjoy reading an explanation of Yom Kippur and the Day of Atonement from Jim. I received it yesterday. Jim sends out a regular teaching to all his subscribers and you are welcome to sign up for Jim’s regular e-mail.

Enjoy and “Be Prepared and Safe”!

Day of Atonement 2012 – Wednesday Sept 26

by Jim Searcy of www.moresureword.com.

Dear Friends –

There is a Day of Atonement 2012 Audio which will contain much of what you are about
to read and more. That Day of Atonement 2012 audio file should be available to you by
the time you receive this on the GJiGT Radio at this link:

There is also a Christian Day of Atonement and/or Messianic Yom Kippur service
at this link:

The DAY OF ATONEMENT (Yom Kippur) is the ONLY BIBLICALLY REQUIRED FAST DAY.
You may read about it in Lev 16:29; 23:26-32, that happens on Tishri 10, this year
September 26, 2012. On one such day soon we will know the end of the 70th week of
Daniel 9, and the culmination of the prophecy of Daniel. It is the FINAL day of the
10 Days of Awe. This is the most solemn and holy day for BELIEVERS who trust in
the ATONEMENT of the Blood of the PERFECT, Sinless Lamb of God, prophesied by
Abraham. It is to be spent in Fasting, Praying, and Confession of Sins. Yom Kippur is
the only REQUIRED FAST day of the year, in the Holy Bible.

Yom Kippur is the day the chaff was burned up on the threshing floor on the temple
mount, and this is the day the gates of heaven are closed, (Rev 3:7-11), and those
who are not atoned for, will be judged. According to ancient Jewish tradition, this is
the day when the sealing angel of Ezekiel 9, Rev 7:2-3, and Rev 9:4, is sent forth t
o seal the people of God.

The Day of Atonement was the only day of the year, that the high priest could enter the
veil, into the Holy of Holies, to make atonement for the sins of the nation, by sacrificing
an animal and placing 7 drops of blood on the east end of the top of the ark of the covenant,
or mercy seat. The Day of Atonement is also the most likely day that the transfiguration
took place with Moses and Elijah, representing the Law and the Prophets, and the day
Yeshua’s ministry was confirmed after the order of Melchizedek. This also may be the
day, maybe next year, of the abomination of desolation, when the ANTICHRIST will
STOP the OBLATION Altar. God will judge every human heart, regarding if it is like the
Holy Spirit filled apostles, who would risk their life, twice a day, every day, AFTER
Pentecost, to show RESPECT for the OBLATION Altar – OR – like the antichrist, who
wants the OBLATION altar Stopped. (Dan 11:31, 12:11; Mt 24:15, Mk 13:14). That will
be the Judgment Day, or the Day of the Lord, (2Pet 3:10-13; Matt 25:31-34; 2Cor 5:10).
That will be the day that Satan will be locked away for one thousand years.

Please allow me to share a prayer for such a time as we NOW live copied straight out of
the Holy Bible:

I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and
sackcloth, and ashes:And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and
said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that
love him, and to them that keep his commandments; We have sinned, and have committed
iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts
and from thy judgments: Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets,
which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people
of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces,
as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel,
that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them,
because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. O Lord, to us belongeth
confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned
against thee.

To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against
him; Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he
set before us by his servants the prophets. Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even
by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us,
and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have
sinned against him. And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and
against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole
heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our
prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand
thy truth. Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the
LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.
And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with
a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have
done wickedly. O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger
and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our
sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a
reproach to all that are about us. Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy
servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that
is desolate, for the Lord’s sake. O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes,
and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not
present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake,
O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name. – Daniel 9:3-19

NOTICE – I, me, we, us, our, – it is FIRST person – it is I who has sinned. It is MY fault.
It is OUR problem. NOTICE that it is not the other guy, but us, you and me who need
God’s forgiveness. Notice there is NO Blame shifting. It is NOT someone else’s sin,
nor someone else who has something that needs to be fixed, nor someone else who
needs to be changed, other than me. And you too. When I have the beam out of my
eye, then I can help you with the speck in your eye.

The Will of God is our Sanctification.

The Will of God is our Restoration.

Restoration – Who Me???

Who can Convince Me of Sin?

When our sins find us out do we say – Oh Thank you – Lord have Mercy!

Or

Do we say – I Rebuke that! – I Don’t Receive That! – Make a counter charge or
shift of blame?

Wow, this is indeed a generation that is without reproof. We just hate it don’t we.
Brother Ebenezer had a word from the Lord. He said “Tell my people that unless
they can receive the word of correction from their brethren they will not be able to
receive the word of correction from God Almighty.”

Messiah Himself could not satisfy the “standards” of this faultfinding spirit when it
spoke through the Pharisees. No matter what Yeshua did, the Pharisees found f
ault with Him. If you have not personally consulted with and listened to the
individual of whom you are critical, there is no way you can be sure that
you are not in the role of the accuser of the brethren? Even the “…Law does
not judge any man, before it hears him,(Jn 7:51).”

If the enemy can discredit the minister, it has discredited his message. The faithful
minister cannot be discredited. We discredit ourselves, as we would attempt to
discredit the faithful man of God. We are to be God Pleasers, not self-pleasers,
or even people pleasers. A very important thing to remember is that if we are
bondservants we can trust our Master to deal with our offenses. We need to be
very careful if we would think to either make or receive accusations of an elder.
Are not those whom we seek to correct Messiah’s servants? Are they not His
possession? Is it not possible that the works of which one may be jealous, and
thus critical, might be the very works of Messiah? We must ask ourselves: Why
has God chosen us to bring His rebuke? Are we walking the way Messiah would
walk? KEEP IT FIRST PERSON PERSONAL.
These are important questions. To be anointed with Messiah’s authority to rebuke,
we must be committed to people with Messiah’s love. But if we are angry, bitter, or
jealous toward another, we cannot even pray correctly for that person, much less
reprove him. Yeshua was declared worthy to bring forth judgment because of His
nature: He was the Lamb slain for men’s sin. If we are not determined to die for
men, we have no right to judge them.

Satan seeks more than just accusing us as individuals. Satan wants us to criticize
and condemn others. Satan wants us to react in the flesh against offenses, instead
of praying for those who offend us. The faultfinder spirit then easily manipulates
our human responses. We will cast down the accuser of the brethren when we
learn to pray for one another instead of preying on one another. In the final stage
of where the accuser of the brethren will try to lead us, we will actually wage a
campaign AGAINST God’s servants. No defense he offers will satisfy us if we have
given space to the accuser of the brethren spirit. We will be convinced he is
deceived and dangerous, and think it is up to us to warn others. The truth is that
the mind controlled by the faultfinder is the one who is deceived and dangerous.
One’s own unrepentant thoughts toward jealousy and fleshly criticism have
supplied hell with a lumberyard of material. When we get to that point – the Lord said,
their foot will slip in due time.
What is it that makes people who are without reproof, who show no fruit of
repentance, who cannot judge themselves, think they can judge one whose
testimony is that God called him? Let us be beam hunters and not mote hunters.
Let us judge ourselves by the Word of God. Let us fight the faultfinder spirit,
and not be found among the accuser of the brethren.

Anna also prophesied concerning Him on that same Last Great Day of the Feast:
And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser:
she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;
And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the
temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in
that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that
looked for redemption in Jerusalem. And when they had performed all things
according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of
God was upon him.

Yeshua claimed to be the Living Water to the Priests in the Temple as they poured
out the water on the Alter. John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall
give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of
water springing up into everlasting life. John 7:37-39 In the last day, that great day
of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me,
and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall
flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on
him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was
not yet glorified.)

One of these days soon, and I believe it would be wonderful if it were to happen on
this day, that we would see the pouring out of the Lord’s Spirit on all flesh, the later
rain, perhaps even the day all Israel will look upon Him whom we have all pierced,
the day the veil over the Jewish hearts will be removed.

2 Cor 3:12-18 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of
speech: And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel
could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were
blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the
old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses
is read, the veil is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the
veil shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the
Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory
of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the
Spirit of the Lord.

We do know the Last Great Battle of Armageddon is all set up. We have every
reason to believe that our generation will be the one called to endure to the end
of the Great Tribulation Antichrist War on the Saints. Saints are redeemed,
repentant, sinners, who are heading for the 7th Millennium Sabbath celebration
with the Great King of Glory. Alleluia Yeshua. We have every reason to believe
we will witness the effect of every vision which is NOW at hand, leading to the
return in Great Power And Glory of our Great King of Glory, and the beginning
of His Sabbath Millennium reign! Let us STOP our participation in the PAGAN
Celebrations of Dec 25, which has always been the celebration of the birth of
pagan and/or Babylonian sun god, Tamuz. Let us glorify the Lord with the
observance of His Feast of Tabernacles.

And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an
evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray Psalm 83 every day. Only be
very strong and of good courage. Stay IN the Word.
