The Bible is the source for an Enduring Faith

The Bible shows each of us how to achieve An Enduring Faith. A  faith that will sustain us through all the sorrows and tribulations of this age.

There is going to be some very hard and dreadful times ahead. None of us know for sure, how much of it we are going to be asked to with stand or walk through. But the Bible has given us the Words of promise that we can all depend on. In the Holy Bible we find the promises of God to His elect that will help us to live and be sustained with an Enduring Faith. Regardless of what we are asked to endure.

The Bible has a lot to say on this topic. Wonderful promises of God that we can depend on.

The Lord tells each of us that because we are saved and children of His that we will be able to withstand a lot of trouble. But we should not necessarily depend on our brothers and sisters.  Why? Because it will be our relationship with the Lord and the Holy Spirit that will be our strength.

For in Philippians 2:12 He tells us.

Phi 2:12  Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, cultivate your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Troubling times are ahead and of the people in the churches in Apostasy are not going to be protected by the Loes. Unfortunately, so many people are involved in non bible believing churches today. Churches literally preaching about a different Jesus Christ than is spoken so directly in the bible and the center of our faith.

1Pe 4:17  For the time has come for the judgment to begin from the house of God. And if it first begins from us, what will be the end of those disobeying the gospel of God?

1Pe 4:18  And if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

1Pe 4:19  Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing, as to a faithful Creator.

Please don’t be amongst them.

Paul states in 2Timothy 1:12

2Ti 1:12  For this cause I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard My deposit unto that Day.

2Ti 1:13  Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

2Ti 1:14  Guard the good Deposit given through the Holy Spirit indwelling in us.

Here is an important clue that is given to us. It’s a very important for any of us to grow to have an Enduring Faith!

1 Peter 5:6-11

1Pe 5:6  Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time,

1Pe 5:7  casting all your anxiety onto Him, for He cares for you.

1Pe 5:8  Be sensible (Sober) and vigilant, because your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour;

1Pe 5:9  whom firmly resist in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions in the world are being completed in your brotherhood.

1Pe 5:10  But the God of all grace, He calling us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, He will perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

1Pe 5:11  To Him be the glory and the might forever and ever. Amen.

Note that the devil is SEEKING out all those that are resisting the true faith vs 8,9

See 1John 5:18

1Jo 5:18  We know that everyone who has been born of God does not continue to sin, but the one born of God guards himself, and the evil one does not touch him.

Note the promise. The evil one (the devil) doesn’t touch him

Pro 1:33 But whoever listens to me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

And

1Pe 3:13  And who is the one who will harm you if you become imitators of the good?

1Pe 3:14  But if you also suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. And do not fear their fear, nor be troubled,

In other words, when we walk In An Enduring Faith, no one is going to be able to harm you. If you believe!

2Th 3:3  But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you and guard you from the evil.

2Th 3:4  And we have confidence in the Lord regarding you, that you both do and will do the things which we command you.

Please don’t be deceived into believing that being a child of God alone provides you with total protection from the devil. If you have sin in your life, then you may be hindering God from protecting and keeping you and thus susceptible to temptation.

Strive today toward An Enduring Faith. God is gracious!

Are You Saved? Are you sure?  There is only one way to know and be assured–Ask Jesus Christ! He is

Rom 8:16  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.

When we ask the Lord, in Jesus Christ’s name, He assures us with His peace and understanding. If for any reason you question your salvation, go to a quiet place, alone, and talk to Jesus. Repent of your sins and commit your life to Him.  He is faithful! He always listens and always responds! The Salvation Prayer is in the Blog in the right column of this page.

One Response to The Bible is the source for an Enduring Faith

  1. The bible online says:

With Christians who are trying to develop a close relationship with the Lord, there are many things we have to go through. Many things happen in our lives that we cannot explain or have no answers for. There is a tendency to then say that it was God who allowed these things to happen to teach us something, or that it is God’s will to get this sickness, accident or disease because He is punishing us, or that it is God, who did this or that to cause such a one to suffer. People have even said that “God took my child, husband or wife”.
