Can a Christian do or say anything that would cause them lose their Salvation?
Jesus said that we must be saved!
Do you ever question your own salvation? Is your salvation assured?
Can you screw up or be bad enough to lose your salvation?
Let’s look at what the bible says.
Think for a minute. Can you confidently proclaim that your eternal salvation is assured? Are you sure about your answer? That is a very heavy and important question. We hope your answer is a resounding YES!
If you are assured and know that you were or are saved, can you lose your guarantee of salvation? How can one know? Let’s take a look.
For those of you that have been here often or for all who have read most of the writings in the Joseph Plan, I’m sure you have noticed one common theme. That common denominator is that one cannot have An Enduring Faith unless they are assured of their salvation!
Jesus says that we MUST BE SAVED. Jesus says that we MUST BE BORN AGAIN. Those aren’t my words and they aren’t the invention of a particular Christian denomination. They are the words of our Lord Jesus, our Savior, the living God. Jesus Christ.
John 3:4 Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb and be born?
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:7 Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again.
John 3:8 The Spirit breathes where He desires, and you hear His voice, but you do not know from where He comes, and where He goes; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.
John 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, How can these things be?
Jesus tells us in the above passages what we must do. We must be born again.
Here we are told How! And it is available to each and every one of us. I nor you are an exception. Thank-you Jesus for this free gift.
John 3:15 so that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
John 3:18 He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.
Verse 16 promises eternal salvation to ALL WHO BELIEVE IN HIM! Period. No conditions.
Verses 18 and 19 explain why many will never be saved.
And then:
Romans 6:22 But now, being made free from sin, and having become slaves to God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
When saved, we have been adopted into an eternal relationship with the Lord. And under biblical law, an adopted child cannot be disowned for their misdeeds. Not ever! When we become saved, we are adopted into the eternal family of our Living God.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Romans 8:15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba, Father!
Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.
Romans 8:17 And if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; so that if we suffer with Him, we may also be glorified together.
The free gift of Salvation is irrevocable by God!
Romans 11:29 For the free gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
The Greek Word for “Irrevocable” is “ametamelayta”, which translated means “unrepented for”, or without repentance.
And we serve and worship a God that never lies! We can stake our eternal souls upon it!
If you have any questions about the assurance of your eternal salvation, please watch this short video. This video addresses the much asked question–
Can a saved spirit-filled, obedient Christian lose their salvation? Can we make a mistake that will affect our salvation relationship with Jesus? It’s a question many of us wonder about. Listen and arm yourself with biblical truth.
YES– Once Saved, Always Saved—-If, you are truly Saved and obedient!
Once Saved, Always Saved, If saved! And when we make a mistake, we repent and get on serving the Lord and other people.
SO, the only question you should ask yourself is: Have I turned my back on God and accepted sin into my life?
If you have turned your back on Him and His ways, your answer is simple. Repent and come back to Him. You don’t want to be one of those not ready when He returns.
Can we give away our salvation. Unfortunately the answer is yes. But it is us walking away and praise Jesus that He is the source of Grace and always, ALWAYS, accepts us back.
You know what to do if you are in that position. Repent, change your ways and come back to Him. I assure you, you are not the exception to His eternal promise.
I have a complete teaching on the absolute need for a Christian to REPENT. See here.
Thank-you Jesus!
And how can we be assured? The spirit within us testifies that God dwells within us. No human can justify us. Only God can.
We are Assured by God’s promise to each of us.
John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
John 10:28 And I give to them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.
John 10:29 My Father who gave them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand.
John 10:30 I and the Father are one!
The enemy wants to cripple us with the spirit of doubt.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.
Rejoice and live in the freedom of your eternal salvation! No more doubts. Jesus did it all. The doctrine of “works” that is sweeping the church today is of the devil. Rebuke it! He wants us in bondage. Bondage to a particular denomination or pastor. Or, bondage to “works based” programs like “Purpose Driven” this or that.
Today and every day we can celebrate life because we are “Spirit filled and Driven”!
Live each day with An Enduring Faith in Jesus Christ. Live it to the fullest. It’s Gods gift to you.
Thank-you Jesus!

My friend, Are you confident where you are going to spend eternity when this all ends? There is an end for all of us some day. Some of us today.
There is only one way to know and be assured– Ask our Father in heaven in Jesus Christs’ name, in prayer today!
Are You Saved from the eternal fate of so many? Are you sure? Ask Him. Find out and be assured.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.
When we ask the Lord, in Jesus Christ’s name, He assures us with His peace and understanding. If for any reason you question your salvation, go to a quiet place, alone, and talk to Jesus. Repent of your sins and commit your life to Him. Then go to a bible believing church and get baptized.
He is faithful! He always listens and always responds!

The ministry of The Joseph Plan
We received a letter from Sarah G of No California. It was very long and not entirely appropriate for a public ministry like the Joseph Plan. But in summary this is what she was asking.
Twenty-five years ago Sarahs’ husband got hooked on drugs. She was a saved Christian woman at the time. She tried to be of help and prayed often. She tried everything she could think of to save him and their marriage. Until one night he came home with two of his drugging buddies.
I’m not going to post the graphic details, but over the course of the night she was raped repeatedly and all her husband did was to stare at her and sleep in a corner. She was shattered, crushed, humiliated and hurt very badly. Her life had been savagely torn up and shattered. She filed and got a divorce.
Over the ensuing ten years Sarah wandered and tried her best to raise her son and eventually ended up meeting a guy who said he was a Christian. They dated for a couple months and she fell in love. He seemed like the perfect guy. He was a good man and acted like a Christian. But shortly after they got married she came to understand that he was far from it. His life style and actions did not match his talk at all. At home He has very serious rage and anger issues. He has started to get violent more and more often. He is drinking daily and his raging is getting dangerous.
She readily admits she is in a very difficult spot and wants to resole it in a Christian, Godly way. She was concerned for her own salvation because of her actions over the last fifteen years or so.
Sarah is still with this man, but believes she must make some very important decisions soon. His habits are getting more and more evil and she at times even fears for her life. This man has gotten involved in the occult. She says that she can even see the devil in his eyes at times of great anger and rage.
Sarah’s question to me was–Pastor Thomas, Is it ok if I divorce this man? Will God still honor His promise to me of my eternal salvation? My picker has been broken for a very long time, I now know.
What do you think?
I am not going to share my letters back to her.Sarah is a woman who ignored the “be equally yoked” teaching of the bible and paid dire consequences for those decisions.
Please include Sarah in your prayers for obedience to the word, clarity, wisdom and boldness.
Sarah is scared and is seeking consul.
What would you have told her? What are your thoughts?
God Bless,
Pastor Thomas
I would like to suggest that each of us get a little involved and send this posting to all our Christian friends. I continue to be saddened by how many Christians question their salvation. We get insecure because of all the threats and confrontations we encounter during our daily lives.
When we accept Gods gifts, teaching and instructions on this, life truly gets easier. We can walk with more confidence and with An Enduring Faith.
We surrender to Jesus. Walk in faith and continue to do what He puts in front of us. Always asking for the Holy Spirits guidance.
God Bless,
Pastor Thomas
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 is one of the most quoted and most often cited verses in the bible.
I often wonder if the depth and width of this verse is being taught to all Christians. A Christian questioning their personal salvation can be a serious problem. It can cause all types of doubt and confusion.
In short, Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for us. So we could have everlasting life. He did it all. If something else is required His death was for naught.
What part of God’s promise of everlasting life do we get confused about or not understand?
God, in His Word, has made each of us promises. All we have to do is–BELIEVE!
God Bless,
Pastor Thomas
When we make a decision, as an adult, to turn our will and our life over to the Lord–He rejoices.
God’s greatest desire is for all to be saved. He wants us to want Him and His ways more than anything else.
When we make that decision and get saved we become fully justified by God. We are forgiven of our sins and showered with His grace. For the first time we have God’s Spirit of life, the Holy Spirit inside of us. This may come as a surprise, but the news only gets better.
We have become a son or daughter of God. God has accepted and received us. This was only possible becuse of the Blood shed for us by Jesus. We are now His heirs with all the rights and privileges that go along with being an heir to the throne. And God has made some remarkable plans for the future of His royal family. Rejoice! You are a child of God.
